Privacy Policy
Your work records stay on your device. Wagebeat has no account, no advertising and no analytics, and the developer does not collect your data.
What Wagebeat stores, and where
The jobs, shifts, breaks, rates, tips, bonuses, notes, planned shifts, pay comparisons and correction history you enter are stored only on your phone, inside the app. Your settings (location, pay period, appearance) are stored the same way. None of this is sent to the developer or to any third party.
Widgets, Live Activities, notifications and watches
To display your shift on the Home Screen, the Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island (iPhone) or in a notification (Android), Wagebeat keeps a small summary (current shift state and totals) in a storage area shared only with its own widget. If you use the Apple Watch or Wear OS app, your phone and watch exchange shift status directly through the watch connection provided by Apple or Google. This information stays on your devices.
Reminders
If you turn on work reminders, Wagebeat schedules local notifications on your phone. They are created on the device and are not sent through any server.
Minimum wage references
At most once a day, or when you tap Check for Updates, Wagebeat downloads a public list of minimum wage references over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The request contains none of your information: no location, no rate and no shifts. The app chooses the reference for your location on the device. As with any internet request, the hosting provider may briefly process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the file. The developer does not use it to identify you. The references are dated, indicative information, not legal advice.
Purchases
Wagebeat Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple on iPhone, under Apple's privacy policy, and by Google Play on Android, under Google's privacy policy. The app asks the store on your device whether Pro is unlocked. The developer does not receive your payment details or your work records.
Exports and backups
You can export a CSV file, a PDF work record or a full backup. Wagebeat hands the file to your phone's share or save dialog, and you choose where it goes. A backup contains your work records, so keep it somewhere you trust. Restoring a backup replaces the records on your device after you confirm, and Wagebeat first keeps a copy of your previous records on the device.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual completed shifts in History. To remove all Wagebeat data, delete the app; this also removes its widget data. Files you exported yourself stay where you saved them.
Children
Wagebeat is a work tool that is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone.
Changes and contact
